New Role & New Things Happening In 2025 - Norris Missions Update

.

Perhaps it feels a little odd to have "New Things Happening In 2025" as a title as we're more than half way through the year! Nevertheless new things have been coming together this year and it's about time I put together a quick update on it.

A New Role with The Send!  "Follow Up Director"

I had an exciting invitation to take on the role of Follow Up Director for The Send earlier this year. What does that mean? It is a lot of the same type of work I've been doing, in facilitating how The Send and other missions organizations follow up with young people wanting to become a missionary. However I've been asked to take on the leadership of the area to see it develop and grow and rise to the next level.

Our goal together is to see over 100 missionary bases reaching 100,000 confirmed missionaries trained and sent... no small task! Daunting, but I'm so excited to have this opportunity as I believe so firmly it's exactly what God has called me to do and trained me in over the past 10 years of direct involvement in missionary recruiting... along with all the systems and processes required to do it successfully. YWAM Mazatlan was my training ground and I'm ready to take on the next level with The Send on calling 10's of thousands into stadiums and arenas and connecting them with missionary organizations across the globe.

With this new role I still continue to serve other areas of The Send including my other main responsibility of support our Fundraising and Donor Management system.

In Other new news... "Activate Your Mission" ???

If you look on the main menu of our website there's a new link! What's that about? After almost 20 years in ministry and with a family of 5; I'm embracing something I believe God called me to do about 5 years ago. Raising money in missions is not easy, for nearly 18 years we were able to almost 100% survive on monthly missions support. However I believe firmly God has called us not only to survive but to thrive. Using the skills I've learned over the past 20 years in communications and recruiting in missions and more specifically the platform of HubSpot; I now offer my services as a HubSpot Specialist and Consultant for mission focused organizations and businesses. It is a lot of work to add this to my plate but it has been so rewarding and I'm so blessed to be able to serve other like-minded missions organizations while also helping to support our family.

One More New... House!

We've moved! After 4 years in a small "temporary" house that we abruptly moved into from Mazatlan amidst our son's medical emergency... we've finally moved to a new home in Rosarito, Baja California, Mexico. This is an exciting change and we're so excited to be at a place where we can embrace Baja as our home and set up a house for our kids to grow up in. This will likely be home base for the foreseen future as we continue to work on the difficult and lengthy Mexican adoption process, while remaining close to California for our son's heart care.

To all of you absolute legends who've continued to support us for any where from 5 to 20 years... We are more than blessed by all you've sowed into the Kingdom.

We're not slowing down, we're not quitting. I'm committed to something I've felt called to from the start... To Make a Dent in The Great Commission.

Thank you for continuing to journey with us!

With love,
